MODOMEC s.r.l., believes that the future of the company is aimed at pursuing the maximum protection of workers, through a structured approach that takes into account organisational, technical, economic and legal implications.
The legal implications are an important constraint both for the company and for the subjects identified by laws and regulations as responsible for possible non-compliance and damage to the environment and the continuous improvement of its performance in the field of health and safety of workers.
MODOMEC s.r.l., however, does not limit its efforts to the observance of laws and regulations, but on the contrary foresees in its policy a continuous refinement of its capacities, organisational and technical, eliminating and/or minimising, where technically possible and economically sustainable, every situation of risk deriving from its activities, with increasing effectiveness and efficiency, analysing the possibilities of improvement of the equipment and facilities available, keeping abreast of the technical-scientific updates offered by the market.
MODOMEC s.r.l. operates at its registered/operating headquarters in Via Appia S.S. 7, Km 637, 100 dx 74016 Massafra (TA) and at external construction sites, where it realises its services and products in full respect of worker protection. The organisation's context includes a series of other external and internal factors that can influence its ability to achieve its planned objectives.
The company management is committed, by making available human, instrumental and economic resources, to pursuing the objectives of continuous improvement of workers' health and safety, as an integral part of its activities and as a strategic commitment with respect to the company's more general aims.
It also intends to define, communicate and disseminate to all personnel, to persons outside the company and who have relations with it, the objectives to be pursued in the field of accident prevention and control, for the protection of workers and the environment, in the awareness that the contribution of everyone is decisive in achieving the objectives and maintaining the company at the highest levels of health and safety protection.
With this in mind, they have therefore issued the Safety Policy, putting in place an Occupational Health and Safety Management System, to reaffirm their own commitment and that of the entire organisation to:
- comply, in content and principles, with the legal regulations on safety and hygiene applicable to the companies' activities, products and services;
- provide safe and healthy working conditions for the elimination of dangers, the prevention of accidents at work and the reduction of risks
- promote every initiative to prevent, in every activity, the occurrence of accidents, both major and minor, that may compromise the safety of employees and neighbouring communities
- provide the necessary resources to guarantee an adequate SGSL;
- promote initiatives for the consultation and participation of workers and workers' safety representatives also through information, training and awareness-raising
- sensitise and inform all employees and collaborators of external companies on the need to comply with the safety and hygiene regulations applicable to the activities carried out at Modomec srl;
- train collaborators to intervene in abnormal and emergency conditions so as to minimise any consequences;
- pursue the progressive improvement of safety management at the Modomec srl premises, also through the identification of the risks associated with the activities performed and the definition of objectives for their reduction, in accordance with the development plans;
- manage products and use procedures that guarantee the safety of workers and populations living near company premises;
- promote a transparent and collaborative relationship with public and private entities and local communities.
Ways to improve the company's occupational health and safety policy
The employer and all those involved as per Legislative Decree 81/2008 undertake to constantly verify the management of health and safety, by means of internal audits on aspects concerning the health and safety of workers, in compliance with the applicable legislation and taking into account the indications provided where these are applicable. The SGSL manual, and all related documents, represent the formalisation of this company will and the guide for the application of the management system.
Every year, during the Management Review, this policy and the entire system is reviewed to verify its effectiveness and the need for any updates, and the objectives and programmes for the following year are defined and communicated to company personnel.

Purpose
This Policy is oriented towards the prevention of accidents and illness at work and represents the guide for the continuous improvement of safety performance and the relative Management System (also through the search for constant updating of the technologies used and the best knowledge at a scientific level); it also constitutes the reference framework for the definition and review of safety objectives by each Company and each production site. The Management of the Group Companies are committed to implementing the principles of the Safety Policy and the objectives deriving from it, and for this purpose they provide the necessary structure and resources; they also carry out periodic monitoring of the achievement of objectives and, where necessary, promote appropriate corrective or improvement measures. The Safety Policy is distributed to all personnel, displayed on company notice boards, and made available to all interested parties on the company website.
What is stated in relation to a Safety Management System, compliant with the standard UNI ISO 45001:2018 for the following certification scope:
"Design, construction, maintenance and assembly of piping, mechanical carpentry and boilermaking; by cutting, assembling, welding, sandblasting and painting processes".
